(Every so often I will be running short doll photo stories as I know that many of my readers enjoy them. Have fun!)
My first ever blog post was a review of an Ever After High Apple White doll I was lucky to find on the clearance shelf at my local Walmart. What I found once Apple was free was a shy doll whose confidence had been destroyed. For her to be sent to clearance, she had to be broken, or something. Her fellow teenage dolls, who had come to call themselves the Fairytales struggled to reach out to painfully shy Apple, trying to make her see that she was beautiful the way she was.
One day, Raven came upon Apple singing in the closet, admiring the acoustics.
"Apple!" she yelled in surprise.
Apple was at a loss for words, she had no idea what to do!
"Your voice is amazing! Where'd you learn to do that?"
"Th-the store... there was nothing to do but listen to the music..."
"Of course! Come on, you're coming with me. You're going to sing with the band."
"Yeah, me, Darling, and Rosabella, Blondie sometimes too. We've been trying to find someone with your kind of voice for a while!"
"I've heard you sing, you've got a pretty voice..."
"But I don't sing folk songs that well, you'll sound amazing with that stuff, no more excuses, come on with me!"
And that was how Apple, found herself singing with Darling, Raven, and Rosabella, shy and uncertain. As she sang, her confidence grew! Gone was the shy girl and in her place was a performer.
